Wisdom of the East

I was so excited to finally open my “Wisdom of the East” calendar which conveniently has a magnetic backing that I stuck to the camouflaged electrical box in my office. Well it has been sitting there for about a month until the New Year finally came and I was open to open it! It wasn’t until a week into the New Year that I actually started to/remember to tear off the pages and read up!

On some recent dates here’s a “little wisdom” I thought I’d share with you:

Let us live happily then, not hating those who hate us. — Buddha

Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive. — Dalai Lama

Taking off your shoes is a sacred ritual. It is a hallowed moment of remembering the goodness of space and time. It is a way of celebrating the holy ground on which you stand. — Macrina Wiederkehr
